The Anxiety Web lies within the realm of computational poetics where it becomes a tool of alternative journaling and experimentation with language using technology as a medium. The user is given a prompt to write out what they are anxious about, then is guided through a circular breathing exercise which will allow the users to interact with their anxious thoughts by blowing out the visibility of the text on every exhale.

The Anxiety Web is a space to write out and visualize your anxious thoughts through text.
Once you are ready, the website will guide you through four rounds of Box-Breathing.

Exhale into your mic to clear your mind as you watch your anxious thoughts fade away.

Why the Anxiety Web helps reduce anxiety:

1. Writing out anxious thoughts alleviate anxiety

A study highlighted by Harvard Health found that
individuals who wrote about their worries
experienced reduced distraction and improved focus.

2. Box-Breathing regulates the nervous system

Box-Breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system,
which promotes relaxation, slows the heart rate down,
and reduces stress hormones like cortisol.
